The Annual “Rockies Golf Classic” is a long-running event that takes place at Monkstown Golf Club, which is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in Cork and was recently awarded the “2023 Munster Parkland Course of the year” by Golfers Guide Ireland.
This year’s event will take place over 2 days, on August 29th and 30th 2024. Mahon Point are delighted to partner with The ‘Rockies’ and once again be the title sponsor of the event.
Speaking at the recent launch of the event at Mahon Point Shopping Centre, the Centre Director, Justin Young stated:
“We are delighted to support The Rockies by sponsoring their Golf Classic for the second consecutive year. This event will help earn much needed funds for the club. Many of their players and supporters are also customers of our Centre so it is a nice way for us to assist the good work they do in our local community.”
The president of Blackrock National Hurling Club, Roger Ryan, also expressed his delight with the support that the club receives from Mahon Point Shopping at the launch. He stated “we are thrilled to have such a significant organization in our community, like Mahon Point Shopping Centre, associated with our club. We are very appreciative of the support
they continue to provide to us as we cater for 100’s of local young people in the development of their hurling skills.”
