On June 20th of this year we were deeply saddened to lose our colleague and friend Dermot Bolger in a tragic fishing accident.
Dermot worked as Operations Manager here at Mahon Point since 2008. He is greatly missed by us all so last week we got some small consolation in erecting a tribute to Dermot.
We were delighted to have Dermot’s wife June, daughters Bronagh and Aideen, and brother Brendan here to assist us in planting a tree outside the covered car park in Dermot’s memory.
The tree planted is an Evergreen Oak which will grow for the next hundred years. It is a noble tree, known for its dignity and loved for its acorns whilst bringing strength and stability. And therefore a very fitting tribute for the man that Dermot was.
Many thanks to Lee Valley Landscaping and John O’Sullivan for their generosity in helping us provide this tribute.
